How to compare tour packages beyond the headline price

Understand starting prices, offer labels and the details to ask for before booking.

Travel destination inspiration

Compare matching arrangements

Two packages to the same destination may include very different journeys. Check the number of nights, hotel names or categories, meal plan, transport and sightseeing. Compare the same room-sharing arrangement and travel dates. A package with more free time may suit you better than a packed itinerary, even if the headline descriptions look similar.

Read the offer carefully

A crossed-out price shows the previous price supplied for an offer, while the current figure is the advertised starting price. Ask which dates, departures and room types the promotion applies to. Do not assume an image badge means every departure is discounted. Confirm the final amount for your group before making a decision.

What price on request means

Some trips depend on your dates, group size, room choices or a customised route. These packages may show Price on request instead of a public figure. Send the travel desk your preferred dates and number of travellers so it can prepare a relevant quotation. A missing price is an invitation to ask for details, not a promise that the trip is inexpensive.

Ask for a written comparison

Request an itinerary and itemised inclusions, exclusions and booking conditions. Ask how changes or cancellations would be handled before committing. World Air’s Koottanad team can help you compare available options against your priorities. Package descriptions and online prices are a starting point; your confirmed quotation sets out the actual arrangements.
